Central Texas Angel Network (CTAN), the leading angel investment organization in Texas, is proud to announce their new partner, the Abilene Regional Growth Alliance (Growth Alliance), a division of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, a prominent business association serving the Abilene region. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development in West Texas.


CTAN and the Chamber’s Growth Alliance are aimed at creating a thriving ecosystem for startups and emerging businesses in the region. By combining CTAN's expertise in early-stage investments with the Chamber's extensive network of local businesses and resources, this collaboration will catalyze angel investing and startup support in Abilene and the surrounding areas.

Douglas Peters was named president and chief executive officer of the Abilene, Texas, Chamber of Commerce in October 2015 bringing over 30 years of economic development and Chamber experience to our community. In his role, Doug oversees the strategic direction of the Chamber and its affiliate organizations, including the Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council, the DowntownABI initiative and the Abilene Regional Growth Alliance, a public/private economic development partnership.

Dr. Courtney Queen, of Texas Tech University’s Health Sciences Center, will lead the local Angel Network partnership in Abilene on behalf of the Chamber and its Growth Alliance.
